Wendy Slusser, MD, MS, FAAP (CFO/Secretary) is a Pediatrician and Nutritionist who has devoted her career to the promotion of health and wellness among children and their families who live in low-income communities. She is Associate Vice Provost at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and runs the Healthy Campus Initiative. She is Co-Founder of the UCLA Fit for Health Program and is the 2010 recipient of the Robert F. Allen Symbol of H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People through Empowerment) Award. Wendy has worked with the LAUSD Food Service Directors for over a decade and has been currently working with David Binkle in successfully identifying schools and implementing fruit and vegetable bars in LAUSD schools. She is the 2010 recipient of the Robert F. Allen Symbol of H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People through Empowerment) Award presented annually by the American Journal of Health Promotion to an individual who makes an outstanding contribution to serving the health promotion needs of underserved populations or to promoting cultural diversity within health promotion.
James Bruce (President) is a Director and Producer who has been nominated for three prime time Emmy Awards for his work in reality television. Jamie has produced, directed, and edited documentaries, feature films, and television over his 30 years career. Jamie started his career as Louis Malle’s protégé and later became his editor on the film Alamo Bay and documentary God’s Country. Over the years he has worked on reality television shows such as Survivor, The Restaurant, The Apprentice, Below Deck, Restaurant Startup and more recently CNBC's Make Me A Millionaire Inventor. In the past few years, Jamie produced the feature film Oka! which was filmed in the Central African Republic, premiered at the Telluride Film Festival in 2010, and made KCRW’s Matt’s Movies favorites list in 2011.
